It's Time to JUMP!

"I should start a blog," says the same little voice that also instructs me to lose five more pounds, make healthier meals, spend more time helping others, etc. etc. It's actually rather annoying. But I should. I really should.


I am a writer by profession and a mother with a wealth of stories cultivated by days spent with my three young boys and my one young husband. As with all the other "you shoulds" I hear in a day, I find excuses to justify my inaction. Well no more. It's a new year! I'm a new me! To prove to world I'm a "new me." I dyed my blonde hair red this week. I already feel stronger - more ready for action. So now I sit here, poised at my computer ready to write. It's 2012 -- the year in which I'll turn 40. The year I will be fabulous. (well here's hoping anyway).


So I'm embarking on this blog, not because anyone will neccessarily read it - except perhaps a handful of family and friends. But as a way to chronicle my day to day life both for myself and for my children. Because if I don't I will forget. I'm finding the days are speeding by faster and faster and if I don't write it all down I just won't remember and it's all too unbelieveably good, bad, and crazy to hurdle, unnoticed into the past. I make no claims to writing anything helpful, amusing, creative, or authorative, but it will be real. It will be honest.

So hello world - this is MOMBOUNCE -- like a child's beloved moonbounce -- I think it describes well what I hope to chronicle -- the highs and lows of the year. The laughs as I jump up -- the sighs as I fall on my face - all with the cushion of my family's love surrounding me. So, if you are ready to come on in and jump with me -- welcome.
